As I have mentioned previously, I use crystals a great deal within my practice. I use crystals in spells, rituals, divination, and so forth. I wanted to discuss 3 crystals I am currently using and why. As far as I am aware 2 of these all belong to the quartz family as they are some the first types of crystals I encountered. However, I used several of types of crystals.
One of my first crystals was clear quartz. I use clear quartz as an amplifier in spells along with other uses such as adding energy to something I am already working on. I remember feeling low in terms of energy because I was dealing with issues related to my health at the time, so while working a spell for my health I used clear quartz as part of larger spell. Clear quartz is also useful for any type of magick including banishing. Recently, I am banishing something from my life, I used clear quartz along with a representation of the thing I was trying to banish. I find the clear quartz charged with the intention in addition to using it to amplify the energy helped me banish what I needed. I also like clear quartz because it is a crystal that is easily attainable in addition to being one that can easily be charged. Further, clear quartz from what I can gather is a good conductor of energy so it can be used in other aspects like healing magick or any type of magickal workings.
Another crystal I currently use is amethyst. Amethyst is a great crystal to use for intuition, meditation, staying calm, and I have found it to be a great use in helping with spells related to anxiety. Also, spells related to working with spirits as well. This is just my personal experience at this point. I like the soothing energy that amethyst brings when placed in the hand or in a room. Also, amethyst can be used for meditating before, or after a working. I am mostly using two pieces one for anything related to my practice, while another is strictly for meditation. For instance, just picking up the amethyst piece is enough to aid in slipping into a meditative state. Lastly, the other piece that I use for any type of spiritual pursuit has been used during a ritual, a magickal working, or If I am trying to connect to the spirits I work with.
The final crystal I am working with the most is carnelian. Carnelian is one of my first crystal pieces I owned right after amethyst and clear quartz. I love carnelian for anything related to motivation, courage, protection, and connect with the element of fire. I use carnelian in any working where I need fast results or motivation to do something. One of my most uses for carnelian was public speaking. I read in a book about using it for this purpose, so I tried while taking a public speaking class. I do not usually struggle with this aspect, but I felt my words flowed easier while using it. This said, I have used carnelian in magickal workings related to anything needing success such as for a job interview, I had. I used in spell jars, bottles, and everything in between.
These are just 3 crystals I am working with now. I hope that this helped you see some of the ways I have used currently along with how I have used them in the past.
