Samhain 2020

Hi Readers,

Last week, I celebrated both Samhain and the blue moon that occurred on October 31. My Samhain celebrations were as  I mentioned in this video was going to be a solemn occasion. Moreover, I mentioned in that video that I was going to spend time honoring some people as it is part of my usual Samhain traditions. I want to discuss how I celebrated in both written and video form.

I spent most of my time celebrating indoors due to bad weather conditions. Moreover, I created a small altar using a tray I own placing several crystals for the elements, a crystal that I associate with my connection to spirit and two crystals for the deities I work with. Furthermore, I was quite formal with this ritual, taking time to cast my circle, call the quarters, in addition to other elements. One of the key aspects to Samhain for me this year especially was to meditate on the year and to banish something that no longer served. I used crystal since I could not burn it away. Additionally, the items in question as I banished two specific things from my life will take time to fully manifest so I felt the crystal since it comes from the Earth will add to that. Also, Samhain is a time of transition and my life is in a major transition, so I meditated on that as well. Similarly, I meditated on something I want to focus on for the next year as well as during this transition period

In addition to banishing, I did as I stated in the video honoring a few important people I have lost recently. Also, I charged crystals in the Full Moon in addition to other items like Moon Water I created.

These are just some of the ways in which I celebrated Samhain.

I discuss them in addition to a few other aspects in the video below.

If you wish to share how did you celebrate Samhain? Did you also do something for the Full/blue Moon?
