Three Ways I would describe My Practice.

Hi Readers,

I wanted to share more about my own personal practice. I thought I would share three ways I would describe my practice and why.

My Practice is Natural.

I describe my practice as natural not just because I incorporate elements of nature within it like stones or herbs. I describe it this way because a lot of what I do is based on what comes naturally to me in addition to recognizing the connection I have to nature like many others. Everyone has something they are naturally good at whether that’s painting or drawing. I am naturally good at working with natural things like crystals and stones along with other things. Most importantly, a lot of my practice is natural because I was doing things that required no specific tools or items nor that I realize I was practicing magick at the time.

My Practice is Spiritual.

I describe my practice as spiritual not just because I work with spirits or maintain relationships with them. My practice is spiritual because I realize the spirit in everything around me. I incorporate and work with spirit on some level within my craft and magick. Further, I believe we all spirit on some level through that belief I feel that we can connect with the spirit within ourselves in addition to spirits of our ancestors, loved ones, and others. Whatever spirits we may work with they are apart of my personal practice. I work with spirits of different types not just ones that would be considered deities.

My practice is Experiential.

Every aspect of my practice is based on my own personal experience. I live my life through the experience like most people. I do not believe something or practice something because a book says it. I practice it because I have read, researched, and experimented. If I have an experience more than once based on both what I have researched and experimented that I find helpful in my personal development as a  person and as a Witch then I will incorporate it while maintaining respect for where it originates. Moreover, my practice is experiential because I am always learning about new aspects of myself along with what I want to achieve as a Witch. I am constantly experiencing new aspects within my practice based on what I have previously experienced in addition to trying new things. I experienced what it is like to cast a spell without any tools, and I have experienced casting a spell with all kinds of tools like wands, candles, and herbs. Through all these experiences, I have learned what works and what doesn’t. I intend to continue this for the entirety of my practice.

These are not the only ways I would describe my practice I could think of other ways. I thought I would share some of them. How would you describe your practice? What are your thoughts?
