Making time for Meditation

Hi Readers,

During the past few weeks I have been devoting more time towards my meditation practice. I have done several types such as guided, using sounds, or just focusing on my breathing. Further, I have used guided imagery as a form of meditation which has helped me with building my visualization skills. However, one aspect of this is making sure that I have enough time for devoting to my meditation practice.

I find that I have different times based on my schedule for that day and based on how much time I have in between activities. For instance, I am currently in the middle of studying for finals so I make sure that I add time for meditating before and after I study. This does not always happen as I may get delayed or lose track of time.

In order to fix that issue I use timers during my study sessions I try to meditate prior for at least 10 minutes. If this is not possible I may choose a different point in the day.

In addition to making time for meditation when I am in school, I make sure to do so when I am traveling. I make it a point to meditate before I leave for a trip even If it is only for 5 minutes.

Where to meditate is going to depend on where you are and how much time you have. I have meditated while walking, on a bus, train, and other forms of transportation. Decide based on your own personal schedule and place. Personally, I am always aware of my surroundings prior to proceeding with the meditation If I am not at my home. I find that making time for meditation has allowed me to be more mindful, work on myself, relax, and so much more. Making time for meditation has also allowed me to be a more effective magical practitioner as well. As a result of devoting more time for meditation within my practice I can further precisely focus on the spell I am working without losing my concentration and focus, in addition to other aspects of my practice.

Many Blessings!!
