I thought in this post I would share some of my new crystals in addition to sharing what was my first set of crystals including what I would do to start working with them.
Over the past few weeks I went to purchase a new set of crystals. In doing so I thought back on the first types of crystals I started out with. One of those types I purchased during that trip.
When I was first starting out with crystals I started out with clear quartz. I found a raw piece of it at the same store. I would carry it in my pocket, use the crystal in meditation, and use it to help me try other forms of sensing energy. I worked with clear quartz for several weeks before moving on to other crystals. The next crystals I purchased were carnelian and amethyst. I used those crystals for many of the same reasons as I did with clear quartz. However, these two crystals were tumbled instead of raw. Today, I own several forms of crystals in addition to the crystals I just mentioned. I have them in both raw and tumbled forms. moreover, I find that despite all the crystals I have I find clear quartz and many crystals within the quartz family to be something I use often. I don’t really have a favorite of anything; however, I feel that these can be used for a variety of purposes such as clear quartz for adding energy to a spell, amethyst helps me with my psychic abilities, in addition to keeping me calm. One of the crystals I recently purchased was a piece of carnelian. I am aware of carnelian having several properties, one of which that I have used is for helping me with public speaking. Additionally, I find carnelian to a good source of energy for motivating me when I feel unmotivated. These are just some of many uses for this crystal.
I would say that If you are interested in crystals, as I stated previously start with a couple or at least one and work with that crystal in a variety of ways such as the ones listed above.
