Musings on writing and spellcrafting

Hi Readers,

Over the past few weeks I have been contemplating various aspects of writing within several forms. I have been contemplating writing in terms of regular things I need to accomplish such as emails, writing messages, and during spellcrafting. Further, I do not consider myself to be a good writer, primarily because I tend to be a perfectionist when it comes to writing. This in turn relates to writing when I am crafting a new spell.

However, I must note that as of late I have not done a lot of writing out my spells due to time mostly in addition to instances what type of spell it is I am working. However, when I am working on a spell I tend to jot down notes and considerations such as what I wish to include in the spell, I don’t just mean ingredients or materials whatsoever. I am referring to other aspects such as an evocation If I am doing it in a ritualistic context such as something I have done recently. Further, this can also involve writing something and revisiting that aspect of the spell prior to my casting it. For instance, several months ago, I recently cast a prosperity spell as I needed some money to go somewhere. I began crafting the spell choosing carefully how I wrote both the amount I am requiring in addition to chant I used. However, I decided to revisit a few days prior to casting it after doing divination because I felt that I could have written that aspect in addition to other parts of the chant more clearly.

When I mentioned regular everyday task such as emails I did so on purpose because when I compose an email, I believe that I am choosing carefully what to say and how I can incorporate that into my magic. I believe that magic is in everything I do even in everyday life situations. I have also done spells such as petitions that does not just involve carefully choosing what I wish to include in my words but how I am making my request. I must note that when I have done petition workings that I do not always burn a candle or incense. I do this on a case by case basis and depending on what entities I am working with as well.

These are just some things I choose to consider during the writing process of spellcrafting. However, the above mentioned subjects are not the only factors within the writing portion of my own spellcrafting.

What are your thoughts, what do you think about when writing during your spellcrafting? If so, what do you consider?

Many Blessings!
