I am angry… my overall thoughts on this weekend shootings and other events.

Hi readers,

I wanted to state that I am deeply sad and angry by what has taken place over this past weekend in Dayton Ohio, Chicago, El Paso, and at the Gilroy festival. I am angry and uncertain what to do. I have been considering ways in which we can create change. I have been reflecting on my views in general.

I found an article this morning that has caused me to consider not just what I know about what has taken place but how the media reports it. I felt that I should share what I found important about the article along with the article itself. I found the articles discussion on the lack of reporting regarding the shooting in Chicago important in addition to how they discuss the actual definition of what a mass shooting is. I feel with what is taking place not just this weekend, but in general that it is important to stay in formed.

Finally, with all of this said, even being in formed is not enough. I am still upset and angry about it all. I feel that change in some form is needed. I am angry not just for the people affected, but everyone within our society. We should not have to live in fear.

Whether you agree with me or not that is fine. I just felt it is important to acknowledge these and all other events. Also, I feel that it is important to discuss them openly and respectfully.

What are your thoughts?

Many Blessings!
