Celebrating Beltane in 2021

Hi Readers,

Happy Beltane!! I hope no matter what you celebrate Beltane or Samhain that you have a great start to the season!! I want to discuss how I have celebrated this year.

I feel like this year I am really embracing fire. I realized that Beltane has several associations most notably fertility in addition to customs surrounding the holiday vary from tradition and path. For me, I feel like Beltane really is the start of summer, especially this year. I feel like it is important to celebrate seasonally as in where we are. For example, where I live the weather is warm, sunny, and it really feels like summer. Also, I notice lots of new life blooming and growing like various local flowers, trees, and plants.

So far, I have done an outdoor ritual which went quite well. I did not set up a large altar, and I took time as part of my daily practice to honor the seasons with offerings, prayers, and divination as I believe the vale is thin just like at Samhain. Furthermore, I plan to light incense later today to celebrate the fire aspect of the season. I am low on candles, so I do not have a way of making a fire. Also, the weather is not the best to have a large bonfire.

In these simple ways I have enjoyed celebrating Beltane this year. Beltane for me is one of my favorite holidays or Sabbats. I feel like this year is no exception.

I discuss more in the video below:
