coping with personal struggles and my path.

Hi Readers,

Lately, I have been dealing with a lot of personal struggles. I have touched on them briefly on twitter, but I have also been planning content for February. I felt it was important to discuss how I have been coping by providing it within the context of my personal practice and path. The following is just my own personal experiences and how I have helped myself. I am not an expert in anything I am simply sharing my experiences.

One of the things I have been dealing with is sadness mainly for different reasons. Some of it related to what is going on currently with the virus, climate change, political climate, and several other events. Not to mention other life circumstances in addition to minor physical issues. I have been dealing with issues with tendonitis in one of my wrists which makes typing difficult. It is also an issue as I use both hands to read books in braille, type, along with other things. I have found that sticking to my daily practice has been extremely beneficial to my health both mentally and physically. This does not mean that I am not taking medications for the physical aspects of my health as prescribed, nor does it mean I am not going to medical appointments. I am simply incorporating aspects of my path in conjunction with doing all the stuff I need to do for my health.

I spend a lot of time at my altar at least once a day If I can, in addition to making a point to start my day with meditation. This has allowed me to stay grounded and more at peace. Even on the days where it has been truly difficult. I have also made sure to maintain my altar while doing so. Furthermore, I have been using crystals like amethyst for helping me stay calm which has helped as well. I have been spending more time outside and connecting with the elements and working with certain elements depending on the day. I have been using essential oils with properties to relieve pain, in addition to resting. I remind myself how I am connected to everything, I remind myself that I am in control of how I can improve myself along with my health. Finally, reminding myself of these connections helps me understand the bigger picture of everything in addition to connecting with my spirits, gods, and ancestors.

These are just some ways my personal practice and path have assisted me while I have been dealing with these personal struggles. Please understand that this changes regularly. Additionally, please also understand I want to reiterate that just because you practice magick or are a part of any form of religion/spirituality whatever that means for you, it is not a replacement for professional care. If you need help in any form, please seek out a doctor or other medical professional.

Many Blessings!
