Welcome to October!! With everything going on with losing my voice I wanted to give an update on that, in addition to my overall health. Moreover, I wanted to talk about healing magick I used, a little bit on self-care, and a little about content coming up for October.
Losing my voice and healing magick:
I mentioned on twitter a little while ago that I lost my voice. I took an entire week to recover which included not speaking, using texting a lot, writing a lot, and drinking more tea than I would normally. I went to see a doctor and I got tested but everything came back fine. So, I just continued what I was doing and eventually I got it back literally a week to the day I lost it. Since recovering, I have been considering a lot of what I learned both during and after that time. During that time, I used everything I was doing like not speaking along with some magick for healing. My fiancé gave me some crystals to use in my healing magick and general healing practices. So, I decided to use some of them by creating a crystal grid. I used the number 4 along with crystals to promote grounding, crystals that aligned with communication, and a few others. I created the grid, and it continues to work to this day. I like to keep it up for at least until the illness has passed or for an entire lunar cycle or two depending on the situation. I also used magick in other ways like when making tea infusing the tea with magick to sooth an heal my throat. This of course, was something I considered carefully because I wanted to make sure I was using teas that aligned both magickally and medicinally as well.
Overall Health and Self-Care
So, as I mentioned in a previous post and video, I would be receiving information regarding my health concerning my procedure related to my Crohn’s Disease. In essence, I am in great health. Everything with the procedure went great! I am supposed to do a few tests just to monitor my symptoms, but all is well. In addition, I have been doing a lot of self-care before and after receiving that news to lower stress. Stress is a major trigger for me, so I try to not be stressed. Sometimes, that does not always work out. Some of the self-care strategies I used were of course meditation, listening to music, walking, drinking tea, spending time outdoors when I could, and I took time to reflect through writing.
Some updates on Content:
Since I lost my voice, I did do some writing, but I mainly rested. I had a lot of content planned for the previous month which is still coming in addition to more stuff this month. I mentioned before, I would like to discuss some more on blindness from a more general perspective in addition to how it relates to my practice. I plan on putting this in the blindness and my practice playlist and I want to discuss some misconceptions, answer common questions I receive, and discuss how I adapt certain practices like lighting candles, how I use writing in my spellwork, and more. I am also discussing some topics related to the LGBTQIA+ community for which I am a part of some of which is coming up rather quickly in honor of National Coming out Day and other topics.
I look forward to discussing all these topics and more with you all. I thank you for continuing to support me and I hope you all enjoy. Thank you for being with me through all the ups and downs as I share my experiences.
I discuss more in the video below:
