Why I Choose to perform Divination prior to casting spells

Hi Readers,

During the past few years I have been devoting more time to divination. For me, I have a strong connection to the spirit realm in addition to the Divine. However, I would like to point out that Divination has not always been something I have focused on within my personal practice specially in the beginning. My current divination tool is crystals along with a pendulum which I am in the process of fixing. A lot of people do not understand how I read with crystals like clear quartz, amethyst, like you would read runes. I have a bag full of different crystals that I use. For me, the process is intuitive in addition to assigning different aspects to each based on the energetic along with the physical components of the crystal. This will also depend on the purpose for the divination session in addition to other considerations. I hope to dedicate an entire post regarding this at some point.

Moreover, I wish to discuss why I choose to divine during the process of spellcrafting and prior to casting anything. I discussed divination along with provided suggestions on how to do so In This Post I talked about how I choose to perform divination prior to casting a spell to verify that the timing is correct, that the spell I crafted is sufficient, in addition to other aspects.

Other reasons for doing so is that I believe it is important to consult with whatever spirit or aspect of the divine you work with. Every Witch I know works with a spirit of some form whether that would be an angel, spirit guide, God/Goddess, or something else. If I know I am going to be asking for assistance with the spell I am casting, then I feel it is important to consult with them to find out other aspect of the spell or situation that I may have missed. For example, If I am crafting a spell for money but as I go through the process of meditation and crafting the spell, I verify through divination that both the timing is correct along with the way in which I crafted the spell is sufficient to achieve it. However, If the spirits I work with inform me that I should work on the spell I will consider carefully what is being communicated to me especially If they mention something pertaining to the situation such as looking at how I have worded it in relation to what my overall goal is. Especially, If I learn something new about the situation which divination can assist with. In the money example what If learn that it possible the job I have may not last? Then, I may need to consdier the spell more carefully. Also, I will use items like the crystals mentioned above as they can help clarify information. Another aspect of the divination process is that I always consider while divining If casting the spell is appropriate for the situation and If I have missed anything. If so, I will meditate on the situation and the spell I have crafted prior to proceeding. The process may take time and it will vary as well. Each person will have a different experience. Lastly, if you have not considered doing any form of divination prior to casting any spells I would highly recommend making it as part of your practice as it can help you prior to casting any spells.

Many Blessings!!
