Spellcrafting Tips.

Hi Readers,

Lately, I have been contemplating a lot of spells. I have been considering a lot concerning spellcrafting. I have been working a lot of spells surrounding different aspects of what is going on in my life such as related to health, employment, and healing. Further, I have been considering what elements I incorporate in the spellcrafting process. In this post, I would like to provide some tips regarding crafting spells. I hope that they assist you in Crafting your own. Keep in mind, this is just my personal view and If you are in a specific tradition follow those guidelines.

Be clear about what you want:

I feel like a lot of us honestly believe we know what we want. Most often than not, what we think or believe we want is not always the case. Before crafting any spells, you need to be certain about what you want. Meditation can help with this. Meditate on what your goal is, figure out what you need to do in the physical to accomplish it, and when you have figured that out begin the process of spellcrafting.bE

Write it Down:

When I began learning about Crafting in addition to spellcasting, I read frequently about how important it was to write down your spells. This is something I did not do from the beginning and I regret it. When I realized how important writing down the spell itself such as the chant/incantation I would use, the components or materials I would use, when I would cast, I understood that this would give me a reference to go back to later. This is where meditating on your goal can help you get clear, and the act of writing it down allows you to be sure you are solidifying in physical form.   Further, write down your intention in the present tense. So, instead of saying I will have prosperity, you would say something like I am prosperous, I receive all the money I need. This is just one example out of many change the words If need be. When keep in mind to make a list of what you will use like candles, herbs, crystals, etc. You also want to involve date, time, moon phase, what sign it is in, weather, what time of day you will cast, etc. Also, writing spells down after you Craft them allows you to make any changes or revisions. Not to mention, If the spell is successful you have a record and cast it again when and If needed.

You do not need a lot of stuff:

I notice when it comes to crafting or casting spells people think you need a large quantity of items for your spell to be successful. This is not the case! I felt it was important to mention as a tip because people get stuck sometimes when crafting spells If they do not have something. So, I would say If all you have are some salt, pepper, some crystals, or even less than that use what you have. I have used nothing but some dirt, some water, and a container for a spell. I have used nothing when crafting a spell. So, when you are writing your spell remember you do not need a lot of stuff to make it successful. Use what is available to you and write it down! Also, in a lot of books you will see a list referred to as correspondence which list a lot of associations for items such as tools, crystals, etc. For example, amethyst is associated with intuition in addition to other associations. These are useful for you to use and can help you during the crafting process. However, they are not set in stone, while I do believe they can help you align with the goal for a spell I do not feel they are always needed. Apply them based on your situation or what your tradition says If that is the case for you.

Do not panic If you do not have everything you need:

I can’t not tell you how many spells I have read that ask for ingredients I either not heard of or I literally do not have available to me. For example, I read in a book about Frankincense for just about every spell, but I had no idea where to get it or what it was until later. All of this said, I encourage you to use items in your area. If you do have something do not panic. Use something that you know through research that aligns with the item in question. Also, if you are trying something new make sure you put that in your notes when you write them down. Finally, when crafting spells when it comes to use ingredients use as many as you need but If you cannot find the item just leave it be or revise the spell.

I hope that these tips help in Crafting your spells. If I did not cover something or you have tips to share, please leave a comment!!
