I get asked for assistance regarding magickal workings from both friends and others I meet. I would like to answer the question do I cast spells for other people? My answer is both simple and complex. The short answer is no.
The longer answer is it depends. Depending on the circumstances in terms of who is asking me, what the situation is, and whether they themselves identify as Witches or practice magick.
When I stated that I do not cast spells for others I say that for two primary reasons.
I believe that the person asking for the spell to be done would be more effective If the person in question casts the spell rather than me doing it. This is because who knows all the aspects of the situation better than they do? What If my intention did not match what they intended? For example, let us say the person in question needs a job and they were specific about what they wanted. I could cast the spell for them but what if the spell does not work or they get a job they did not want? The spell not working could be for another reason like not being clear regarding what I wanted or for another reason altogether. However, how do I know for sure that is what they did not want? Sure, they can tell me but that does not necessarily mean I know all the insight into the situation. This is relevant to my point above that the person in question is better off to cast the spell than I am. This is for several reasons.
Firstly, the person in question understands the full extent of the situation, are aware of what they want in most cases, and they are invested in the situation. Does this mean I will not cast for others? As I stated above it depends. If the person is not a magickal practitioner or Witch, then maybe. I say maybe because it will depend on the circumstances, what their beliefs are regarding magick, and other factors.
All of this said, I have cast spells for some people, but I needed to understand the situation entirely before doing so. I will not do so for just anyone. This does not mean I will not assist others with casting spells or crafting them. I am more likely to assist in you casting the spell then me doing it for you. If you are not comfortable for any given reason with magick then I would considerate, but I would still ask why you are choosing to seek me out If you are uncomfortable with magick.
Casting spells for others is a complex topic and may will have varying opinions on the subject. I am not against casting spells for people I just do not personally feel it is best for me to do so. I feel like the person in question is more effective than I would be. They are involved in the situation; they would understand on a level than I would. My spell might be effective, but that person would be in a way than I would not. I believe that I would have to place my personal feeling aside when casting the spell. Again, these are all just my opinion. Just because I will not cast the spell for you does not mean I will not help. I simply consider all aspects of the situation. Furthermore, consequences of all types seen, unforeseen, short, and long-term should be considered.
