Transitions and communities as it relates to my personal path and life.

Hi Readers,

Lately, I have been reflecting on the season. I am going through a lot of transitions both on my personal path and in general. I feel like this year is all about the unknown and transition. One of the positive aspects of this transition is the discovery of multiple communities. I would like to discuss how I have found community at a time when most are struggling to connect.

I have found a lot of virtual events and groups to connect with. Through these groups I have learned about what I believe, experienced, and the difference in paths. I am in a small online group whereby all the people are on differing spiritual paths. As such a lot of discussion happens concerning the difference in paths but one of the positives of this it allows for us as a group to come together. I noticed that though we vary on beliefs and practices we as a group can discuss with an open mind and in a respectful way to discuss fundamental matters including our views or experiences with Deity. Furthermore, I found through this group it opened the door to me searching for other groups about different aspects of my life.

For example, I found an entire community of people with crohn’s disease in addition to other forms of IBD. Additionally, I found several online events to attend as well.

If you are wondering what these events, groups, and communities have in common with transition I have noticed several things. Firstly, I found that through the small group I am learning about how my beliefs differ from even six months ago, in addition to how much my personal practice as a Pagan has grown within these six months, and most importantly I am starting to realize something fundamental about all these aspects. I am questioning what I believe which I do often, but I find that through these various online communities I find that my path is diverging in some ways and coming together in others. However, I am still learning and experiencing this transition. Lastly, I have found another community one in which I feel has helped me consider why I identify as Pagan, and as Which. This in turn has allowed me to get in touch with the season we are in. I find Samhain brings way to a transition season and as we head into the Yule season, I find that I am emerging from this transition.
