I thought I would share with you some of how my Mabon celebration went. For the first time in quite a while I did a ritual with someone else. My fiancé offered to join me. They are also a Pagan however they follow a similar yet different path then my own. Moreover, I thought since we have delt with a lot of situations this year both personally and globally that we would focus on balance and gratitude. I found that the ritual overall went well. I found my experience enjoyable and that we balanced one another. We each took turns performing different aspects of the ritual. Since I could not burn candles, they offered to burn one on my behalf.
The whole experience got me to think about working with others in a new light. While I have done a few virtual things with a close friend and cast spells with someone else in person I found the experiences to be worthwhile. I have been a part of another group of people who are amazing! I hope to continue connecting with them and working with them in whatever compacity that is in. I am considering whether I would eventually join a coven at some point. I contemplate this often as I have practiced alone for as long as I have walked this path. I recently found a small group of people through that same friend I mentioned above, and I am enjoying being a part of the group in addition to getting to know all of them. In addition, I have joined another small group that I helped create but I am not sure what kind of group that will turn into. Either way, I am glad to have found new connections and form new friendships.
One major aspect I have been trying to cultivate since that celebration and leading up to the equinox is gratitude. I have been making it a point to keep a gratitude journal or at least continuously embrace gratitude.
