Hi Readers,

This is my current altar. Shown is my cauldron on the left, in front of it is a crystal grid with a heart shaped crystal in the middle. Other grids along with other objects I use are present.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I am sharing my personal path during this current quarantine situation. I’d like to provide tips and suggestions that have assisted me that anyone regardless of experience can use. These are just what work for me personally If you have something else then do that. I just want to share it for you to see what works for me and it may help someone else.

I have been exploring more aspects of subjects. Currently, I am looking at the various ways of astral projection and travel that I have yet to try. This is something that comes naturally except for the past few years. If you are new I would research as much as you can on this subject before trying it out for yourself. You want to understand it fully before actually doing it so you know what to expect in addition to making sure you try simple exercises that help you through the process. In my explorations I have been dedicating a week specific for me to explore the topic. Also, I am looking into different techniques for raising energy that I have not tried. Lately, this has been in the form of chants as that is something I haven’t explored in detail. I am doing the same with astral projection by giving myself the whole week to explore the topic. This includes doing exercises for each subject. If you are new and have an interest in the subject research simple exercises along with why it is done how in magick can be useful as you will learn a skill that will benefit you during the spell casting process. Even If you are not new you can always find a new technique.

Another skill I am improving for myself is something I have done since I have started which new ways to visualize. In my case, I learning new ways to visualize things I have not seen before and how I can hold the image. This is something I do at least daily when I have time. This is something I think both new Witches and people who have been doing this a while can benefit from as it allows you to learn something critical when casting spells in my opinion, along with try it in a different form. For instance, I am practicing with visualizing specific colors, symbols, and images.

One I am working on in terms of my personal path is reading about different forms of ritual and how they are accomplished. This includes how the ritual is written, what elements are involved in terms of tools, deities are typically invoked or evoked, structure, and when to do the ritual. I think this is useful for those who are interested in a more ceremonial approach along with people who like structure to their practice. If you do not you can apply this reading and exploration to something specific to your own path like spellcrafting, rites for specific deities, or something else. I find this helpful for me as it allows me to see different ways of creating ritual keeping key points in mind in terms of the basic structure along with finding items, I can use that are around my home. These are just some of the tips that have assisted me during this time. I realize that many can be adapted for any time of year, but I find that this is a good time for diving into something different or new for you that you can really work on.
