How we can use Witchcraft to help ourselves, and our communities while in #Quarantine or #Self-Isolation

This is my current altar. Shown is my cauldron on the left, in front of it is a crystal grid with a heart shaped crystal in the middle. Other grids along with other objects I use are present.

Hi Readers,

During these times of uncertainty and confusion I think it is important as Witches to now more than ever be of service to help both ourselves and the world. This page on the CDC website displays a map where the Coronavirus is currently from what I could gather. Admittedly, I had issues reading the map using my screen reader which reads my screen in its entirety to me I could only tell that a list of regions was present. Furthermore, in the United States several sates have issued some form of stay at home order, This article discusses which states along with what order is in place Additionally, with all of this said it is  important to make sure we are doing everything we can to protect the health and safety of others. For myself, I have been Self Isolating long before the official order was in place. I am doing it for health reasons. Despite being at home we as Witches, Pagans, and magickal practitioners can help ourselves, along with everyone in our communities.

It doesn’t have to be complicated or elaborate. You can participate in online rituals, work spells as an individual, and connect with others online through social media. If you are in a coven, I am sure some virtual celebrations of holidays like Ostara, along with workings to ensure healing, protection, safety, prosperity, and other essential things can be arranged through video services like skype, zoom, or something else.

On an individual level, working protection spells of some form for your family and community can help. Do you offer readings? You can offer messages of hope to others and help people through this time. Maybe you offer some other service like spell work or healing, then you can use it to help others in need.

Also, on the more mundane side of things checking up on neighbors, friends, the elderly, and disabled people who may need assistance is a good way to help your magick as well as help people. Moreover, keeping in contact with others via phone, skype, facetime, text, and social media along with other services. Also, gardening If you have the space and weather permits is a great way to help others and work magick as many herbs and foods have magickal properties. If you can’t garden supporting farmers markets, local grocery stores, and other essential businesses in your area can help in addition to places that are suffering like small businesses If you can.

Other ways you can help using Witchcraft and magick is working magick for those people who you may know who work in the essential services like doctors, nurses, food, trucking, grocery store employees, suppliers,  and other industries so that they  are healthy, protected, and they have money. Moreover, these spells and rituals don’t need to be elaborate unless you choose to do so, you are a part of a path or tradition that has specific requirements, or something else. You can perform spells before you go grocery shopping, and after you get home. Use the resources around you and what you have available. Do research on what you can use magickally and see If you have it. If you do not and it isn’t essential, then use something else.

Now is a good time for reading new books, listening to podcasts, catching up on videos, creating items specific to your personal path and working on what you can add to your practice. Let us all come together both as individuals and groups to help our families, friends, and communities no matter where we are in the world.
