The Versatility Of Crystals

Hi Readers,

I have been doing a lot of work with crystals lately. I find crystals to be the most versatile option for me as a Witch. Thus, I have decided to start a 3-part series covering 3 topics regarding crystals. This series will start this week.

However, prior to getting into that series I thought I would highlight some of the many uses for crystals.

I can use and reuse them for any purpose both for magic and healing. Further, I have found crystals to be useful in meditation, visualization, and energy work. Additionally, I believe that crystals can be used as a skill for Divination.

Divination is something I do before any spell as I have mentioned in previous posts. I found crystals to be a great way to gain insight on certain subjects where detail, and clarity are needed along with other answers as well. Also, I find them to be helpful in finding insight on how we can work on healing ourselves and possibly others on all levels. I find that learning about how crystals are formed on a physical level is important. Since most crystals come from the Earth, I feel like they are a great way in bringing nature into one’s practice in addition to working directly with the element of Earth. Now, you could also do this with regular stones as well.

However, I feel that crystals can help connect you with each element depending on the crystal and its properties. For example, carnelian is a good one to work with for working with the element of fire in my opinion. Crystals can also be used for cleansing and protection. For example, obsidian is used for protection against negative energy.  Crystals can be used in grids for manifestation of any goal or desire. Also, crystals can be used in any spell regardless of what it is. I have used crystals in addition to candles to add extra power to a spell, in place of a candle in the appropriate color for the spell, as a grid for healing or some other working. Since crystals have a wide array of properties and purposes you can use them for several aspects in healing or magic. For example, I have also used obsidian for grounding in addition to protection. Another great thing to use crystals for is creating elixirs. Elixirs are great for all kinds of purposes. However, caution should be used, and you must always do your research before placing a crystal in water as they can be harmful. Further, you must also consider If that crystal has other properties that may be harmful such as sulfur, mercury, led, etc. If you are uncertain you can create an elixir with a different crystal that can be infused within water in addition to be safe for consumption If that is what you are planning on doing with the elixir. One thing I want to mention is that If you are planning to incorporate crystals for any reason into your life don’t think it has to be expensive. Tumbled stones work just as well as raw ones do. Further, start with a small collection and build up. Trust me I have been in that situation.

These are just a few ways I find crystals to be one of the most helpful and useful tools for me as a Witch.

Do you have any other tips for using crystals in your practice?
