All About Samhain 2021

HI Readers,

I wanted to first wish everyone who celebrates a blessed Samhain!! I hope however you celebrate that your New Year is full of blessings of happiness, joy, new opportunities, and so much more!! I wanted to share some of my celebrations of Samhain and more on what this season is bringing up for me!!

I celebrated with prayers to my Gods, a few offerings to them along with my ancestors and spirits I work with. I celebrated with a ritual to honor the dead, in addition to a lot of divination with more divination and ritual to come. I also have spells I worked on along with a few others that are still in the works.

This year Samhain feels different than last year. In 2020, Samhain presented a multitude of challenges in terms of what I did for the season. I cast spells for banishing, protection, and I released a lot of no longer served me. In doing so, I made room for all these amazing opportunities, goals, and all of which came to fruition. My intentions for Samhain were about serving others including friends, my local community, and understanding what serving others meant for me. In addition, I wanted to delve more deeply on my spiritual journey which I did in many ways. I found and am still forming new relationships with Deities, new spirit guides, and exploring spiritual endeavors through reading others books, blogs, watching video, and learning through other means. I am planning to talk more on the Deity aspects within the coming month or so.

Samhain this year, is so different. Instead of releasing, banishing, I am manifesting and embracing new opportunities, learning more about these current relationships I mentioned, and more I am not sure about. With everything going on both within the larger world and within my own life, I am focusing on protection work related to just general protection of myself, family, my communities, and other communities in need. Further, I am also focusing on health with everything happening with Covid in addition to just making sure everyone including myself is healthy. Lastly, Samhain this year is bringing up the idea of embracing the dark. I realize how this may sound, but I mean my inner shadows, the things I do not wish to learn about me, but I understand I must grow. In addition, I find myself delving into more deeply into topics regarding my practice that I have yet to explore which I hope to discuss more in the future. Either way, I look forward to what is to come.

I am excited for this next year and for embracing this season. I am looking forward to what is coming up!!
